IFA defends its record in livestock deaths blackspot
Limerick IFA Chairman Michael O’Flynn said everything possible has been done by the Association to resolve the problem, and he emphatically rejected allegations that they were not working in the interests of the farmers affected.
“The IFA has done more for this animal health problem than any other organisation I know. The IFA has worked unceasingly with the Askeaton Animal Health Committee to find the cause of the problem. We commissioned an extensive report on the EPA issue and I totally reject allegations that the IFA is doing nothing for the ‘death fields’, because it simply is not true”, Mr O’Flynn told a meeting of the Limerick IFA Executive at Adare.
