The National Ploughing Championships will return to Cork for the ninth time from September 27-29 in 2005.

The central venue for Ireland’s biggest rural event, which attracts 150,000 annually, will be the Forrest family farm at Deerpark, Mogeely, Midleton; up to ten neighbouring farms will help to stage the event.

Dick Forrest and his wife Maureen and sons Robin and Ricky produce tillage crops, and are plant hire and ground work contractors.
