Quality holding of 55 acres on offer

ONE field of 55 acres, bounded by a fine stone wall is on offer at Rochestown, Grange, Kilmallock through Brian Gleeson of Liam Gleeson and Sons, Auctioneers.

The horsey anchorman for RTE and the BBC describes the holding as top quality and says there has been a ‘plethora of interest’ so far.

In fact, at the time of going to press, he has an offer of 500,000 on the land, but expects close to 600,000.

The same agent is selling a similar-sized holding at Rosegreen in Co Tipperary, less than half a mile from Ballydoyle Stud.

Here, the 58 acre parcel is in two divisions with one L-shaped lot presently under corn. Located on the Clonmel/Cashel road, the property would make a lovely mini-stud or hobby farm.

Just on the market, this property has a guide price of 600,000.
