‘WAITING for the Effin bus’ was a staple of Hall’s Pictorial Weekly. That innocent humour is now an anachronism 30 years on, but the parish remains.

A well kept dairy farm with a happy herd, at Garriencoonagh South, Effin, is on the market with Phil Purcell of GVM Kilmallock.

This retirement sale has now gone to final offers, and should be sold shortly, the agent hopes.
