Macra bursaries for top leaders

Six finalists will be in contention for three top prizes of travel bursaries worth 2,000 each in the Macra na Feirme Bank of Ireland Business Banking national leadership awards in Dublin on February 11.

Macra president Thomas Honner said that the Leadership Awards are important as they recognise the achievements of club and county leaders and provide a real incentive for the development of club programmes.

The six finalists are: Raymond Brady, Cloncovid, Co Cavan; Carmel Brennan, Castlewarren, Co Kilkenny; Catherine Buckley, Rylane, Co Cork; Mary Guilfoyle, Nenagh, Co Tipperary; Colm Markey, Togher, Co Louth; and, Joe Morrissey, Midleton, Co Cork.
