Base prices at the factories ranged from 342 to 356 cents/kg (122p to 127p/lb) which is a few cents over the start of business last week, which may have stemmed from the holiday week-end disrupting normal patterns and increasing demand during the later half of last week and during the replenishing of stocks on Tuesday.

According to the processors, their returns from the continental market are under pressure, but how that affects price will depend on the balance between supply and demand over the coming days.
