Dairygold to develop new subsidiary

PROPOSALS to transfer Dairygold’s non-farm businesses into a new subsidiary were confirmed at a shareholders’ meeting in Mallow yesterday.

Dairygold’s non-farm businesses, Consumer Foods, 4HOME and Alchemy Properties, will be placed in a subsidiary called Dairygold Limited.

Chairman John Walsh said members identified their desire for the co-op to develop non-core assets into a business that could support milk price and pay a dividend.
