81,775 milk gallon quota with land

JUST like buses, two valuable Bandon, Co Cork properties have come along together.

The largest is at Kilpatrick, but the other property, at Lissaphooka, has a whopping milk quota of 81,775 gallons with its 70 acres.

John Hodnett of SWS Property Services, Clonakilty says this farm has been extremely well managed and comes on the market in exceptional condition.

It has watered and paddocked divisions with a central roadway, a roadside residence and modern yard.

The land has no waste, is all in pasture and is very easily managed, and Mr Hodnett expects a sale price of more than €1.5m, as the farm will appeal to a wide spectrum, including dairy farmers.

Lying two miles south of Bandon town, the farm has an eight-unit milking parlour, a slatted yard, cubicles for 80 cattle with automatic scrapers, and other sheds and houses.

The main residence is generously proportioned, with four bedrooms, a conservatory, kitchen-dining room, two bathrooms, and utility room.

The property is offered in two lots: 68 acres and the quota in one lot, the house and yard in the other. It is for sale by private treaty through SWS Property Services.
