10 Teagasc offices added to closure list

TEN Teagasc advisory offices have been added to the list of Teagasc locations to be closed, after a significant cutback in the farm advice, training, and research authority’s finances.

The offices are at Farranlea Road, in Cork city; Tullow, Co Carlow; Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny; Gorey, Co Wexford; Wicklow town; Bailieborough, Co Cavan; Loughrea, Co Galway; Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim, Boyle, Co Roscommon; and Corduff, Co Dublin.

Teagasc management has also been instructed to identify some smaller, leased offices which should be considered for closure.
