Best wishes for injured IFA chief

Good wishes for a speedy recovery have been pouring into Limerick Regional Hospital for the IFA president John Dillon, who broke his leg in an accident on his farm at Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, last weekend.

He was herding cattle with his two sons when he broke his left leg in an accident involving a quad bike. Mr Dillon has had to cancel a number of engagements this week and he has suspended a series of IFA county meetings called to discuss a report conducted by independent consultant Michael Dowling on the reorganisation of the IFA.

Ruaidhri Deasy will be deputising for Mr Dillon on IFA’s general day-to-day business.
