Pig price here trails EU-25 average by about 7%

PIG prices are unchanged this week, from 140 to 144 cent/kg. The Northern Ireland price is also stable, 144 to 148 cent/kg.

Pig prices in many EU countries increased again this week, as supplies continue to remain tight.

Here, export plants mostly quote 140 to 143 cent/kg net on a flat rate basis. Welfare pigs average €1.48/kg.
