€28k for Samaritans’ rural work

AGRI Aware chairman Mike Magan and IFA president John Dillon yesterday presented €28,000 to the Samaritans, in support of their work in rural Ireland.

The donation was initiated by a group of farmers, and the IFA in turn added €5,000 to the fund.

Ruby Gould, Samaritans Publicity Officer, said they intend to use the money to further develop their role in combating rural isolation.

The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on 1850 60 90 90, face-to-face at local branches, or via e-mail at [e-mail].
