Craft butchers welcome campaign

Ireland: Craft butchers have welcomed Bord Bia’s campaign to promote Irish beef consumption and have pledged to support it on the home market with a series of activities over the coming months.

Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland said that, while Bord Bia will focus its campaign on Europe, it has called on Irish consumers to put Ireland first when looking for the best for their families. Chief Executive Pat Brady said Irish beef is among the best in the world, reared on open pastures and lush grasslands.

“It is processed by experts and through the medium of the craft butcher sector is brought to Irish consumers with their tastes and preferences in mind.”
