Cut car test wait lists says Seandun

MACRA in the Seandun region has demanded Government action to cut the 38 weeks waiting period for a driving test in Cork City.

Spokesperson Josephine O’Connell, from the Whitechurch Macra club, said provisional drivers are seriously disadvantaged in rural areas, where the only transport option is usually a private car.

She said that a Macra delegation will shortly meet the Minister for Transport and will demand a driving test waiting period of no longer than six weeks.
