Statement on farmer entitlements

AGRICULTURE Minister Joe Walsh announced yesterday that a provisional statement of entitlements under the new EU single payment scheme to individual farmers will be issued in early September.

He said the statement will contain comprehensive information on individual farmers’ direct payments in respect of each year of the reference period, the areas declared and details of the calculation of the single payment entitlements.

Mr Walsh also announced he was establishing a dedicated call centre to deal with queries from farmers following the issue of the provisional statements.
