IAWS chairman to retire this year

IAWS Group Plc, the maker of Cuisine de France and Delice de France baked goods, said Philip Lynch will retire as chairman this year to focus on expanding a shareholder’s business.

Mr Lynch will leave this year after less than 18 months in the post.

Before becoming chairman, he was chief executive officer of IAWS for 20 years. As chief executive, Mr Lynch oversaw IAWS’s transformation from a manufacturer of seeds, shovels and fertiliser to a maker of ready-to-bake bread and convenience foods for the US and Canada.

The departing chairman is also chief executive of the Irish Agricultural Wholesale Society.
