Kerry Federation gears up for Ladies Day event in Tralee

TRALEE member Celia Cooke is looking forward to a good attendance at the Leisure Day event which she is organising for this Saturday.

It’s to be held at the Earl of Desmond Hotel between 10am and 1pm.

Kerry Federation holds the Sports and Leisure Portfolio. Celia Cooke said that Kerry is now in the final year of their three-year term.

The Kerry Federation asks other Federations to look at some of the things they have been doing during this time.

Kerry has also organised charity walks but this event on Saturday is a new form of leisure which will include dancing of various styles and, according to the organisers, “should be very entertaining and great benefit to keeping fit”.

Participants are asked to bring a sleeping bag and a cushion for the rest periods.

The Kerry Federation hold their meeting the following day in the same hotel, Judging for Kerry Group Cup will also take place.

Any finished dolls for Crumlin Hospital may be brought to the Federation meeting. This is an on-going project.
