THE creme-de-la-creme of the Angus breed in Ireland will compete in the All Ireland Aberdeen Angus Championships 2004 at Cappamore Show on August 18.

The 2004 Championships will commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society with the presentation of a special medal to the exhibitor of the All Ireland Champion.

Details of the €3,000 Championships were announced by John McEnroe, Co Meath, National President, Aberdeen Angus Society. The championships are sponsored by Univet Ireland Ltd, Co Cavan.

Overall and reserve, senior and junior champions will be selected from the winners of ten classes. Awards will also be made to senior and junior stockpersons.

The championships rotate between the four provinces over a four-year cycle. Cappamore was chosen as the Munster venue because of its success in becoming one of our top agricultural shows.
