Scale ‘no solution to dairy problems’

SCALE is not the solution to the problems that beset the dairy industry, the ICMSA leader Jackie Cahill has declared.

He said discussions on scale are diverting attention away from milk price, the key issue determining the future of the dairy sector.

“All farmers who are committed to dairying are looking to expand, but they are rightly expecting that their incomes will increase and not stand still, or stagnate, as a result of expansion.”
