No price commitment leaves lamb producers nervous

NO good news for lamb producers from the factories this week as prices slip further and clouds are gathering over the trade.
No price commitment leaves lamb producers nervous

The price trend this week has been more variable than usual. While some processors maintained prices, quotes from others were reduced by up to 9 cents/kg (3p/lb).

As in previous weeks, there was a revision of the Monday quotes on Tuesday, with prices being cut back to a base range of 372 back to 364 cents/kg (133p to 130p/lb). The factories could given no price commitment to the end of this week, leaving producers fearing further cuts.
