FARMERS in the Mid West have started the fight to save their regional veterinary laboratory at Knockalisheen, near Limerick City.

Limerick IFA has sent a resolution to headquarters, seeking the IFA National Council’s help in retaining the Department of Agriculture laboratory.

They have also written to Agriculture Minister Mary Coughlan, outlining their concern at the proposed change
