Clerical officer wins Boi/Macra award
Mary Guilfoyle, Nenagh, chairperson of North Tipperary Macra na Feirme, holds a certificate in agriculture and a Bachelor in business computing.
The two other winners in the awards, announced at a reception in Dublin, are both farmers. Raymond Brady, Cloncovid, Co Cavan, is Macra’s north west vice-president and Colm Markey, Togher, Co Louth, is the organisation’s Leinster vice president.
Macra president Thomas Honner said the awards recognise achievements of club and county leaders within the organisation.
Director of Bank of Ireland Business Banking Cathal Muckian said the bank was proud to be associated with Macra in fostering and promoting the leadership training of its vibrant young membership.
Each winner was give specially commissioned trophies as well as travel bursaries worth €2,000.
