Food Island awards launched

THE “Oscars” of the €16 billion Irish food and drink industry were launched in Dublin yesterday by Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan.

Bord Bia, in association with AIB and Food and Drink Industry Ireland, is organising the Ireland the Food Island awards, which will recognise success and promote excellence in the industry.

Category awards for innovation, brand marketing, trailblazer, food and drink entrepreneur, corporate and social responsibility and small business will be presented.
