ICSA elects three vice-presidents

THE Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association elected three vice-presidents — Joe Kilmartin of Navan, Michael Brady of Kilflynn, Tralee and John Barron of Ballintra, Donegal —for two-year terms of office at a national executive meeting in Portlaoise.

Mr Kilmartin, who had just completed his first two-year term as Leinster vice-president, saw off the challenge of Brian Mathews of Killeigh, Co Offaly.

For the position of Connaught /Ulster vice- president, Mr Barron defeated John Flynn of Carrick-on-Shannon.
