Record entries for art competition

A record 30,000 students participated in this year’s Agri Aware/FBD Trust national art competition, SpringTime on the Farm.

Agri Aware chairman Mike Magan said the level of interest and awareness in agriculture is clearly very high in the primary schools. “It is yet further reassurance to us that Agri Aware’s innovative projects are effective in narrowing the urban-rural divide,” he said.

The young artists now await the results of the judging process, before thirty selected winners are awarded prizes of art equipment and materials.
