CLAIMS that the English city riots were provoked by social deprivation, marginalised youths, the disadvantaged and social malcontents in British society, do not tally with the profile of some of those already charged with looting, arson and vandalism.

READING the article by Joe Gill (August 10) I was disgusted with his description of new-born humans as “sprogs”.

AS our Government struggles to restore some sanity to our cost structure, they are encountering pretty formidable opposition.
