We are all more stressed because of Covid-19, but that cannot be blamed for the increase in domestic and sexual violence

We've had it all along. It is literally in our hands. We are not passive actors. We can make these next six weeks count. If enough of us do the right thing we can rapidly reduce the Covid-19 in our communities

The pandemic and the climate crisis might seem like two very different beasts, but they're not

Dangerous disinformation about mask-wearing, herd immunity and a weakened strain of Covid-19 is spreading faster than the virus.

People are become dependant on the dopamine hits generated by  the likes of Twitter

"Imagine, if like alcohol, we gave up social media for a month. What could we turn all that profitable attention to? We could combat climate change or help a neighbour instead of posting conspiracy theories on Facebook"

Why aren't the people that actually run Ireland, the mothers who juggle paid and unpaid work with the cooking and the cleaning, the nap times and the school runs, the homeschooling, the eldercare and the childcare, not sitting in the Dáil or the Seanad or on the legal benches of this country?

"It is as if we all wore this really tight pair of shoes for a dozen or so weeks and on taking them off, swore subconsciously to never put them on again. But Covid-19 went nowhere. A vaccine is not ready. The long-term effects of the virus, on those who survived, is not yet known"
