Professional services firm PwC is supporting Junior Achievement Ireland to help young girls explore a career in technology.

The goal of PwC’s Tech We Can programme is to provide greater reach in the DEIS schools, while fostering diversity in technology and advancing gender equality.

Enda McDonagh, managing partner at PwC Ireland, said: “Our relationship with JAI spans over 25 years. The Tech We Can programme reflects our deep commitment to driving equality beyond PwC and underpins our Inclusion First and Social Impact Strategies. Through this partnership, our goal is to ensure that women are equal contributors in building that future.”

JAI and PwC aim to provide more young girls with the inspiration, resources and relatable role models they need to explore careers in technology through greater reach in the DEIS (Delivering Equality of opportunity In Schools) schools.

PwC’s Tech We Can programme has reached 1,400 students since 2022. Tech We Can, developed by the charity Tech She Can, is a free programme inspiring young people to explore technology-related subjects and careers.

Aoibheann Doyle-Mulhare, JAI, said: “By reaching students, particularly girls, in DEIS schools with relatable role models and real-world tech experiences, we’re helping them see a future where they belong in technology. Together with PwC, we’re building pathways to confidence, ambition, and opportunity in the digital world.”
