A campaign which made the connection between music icon Taylor Swift and her Irish heritage has claimed the top prize at this yearâs Spider Awards.
The Spider Awards â dubbed Irelandâs âdigital Oscarsâ - have recognised innovation in digital marketing, innovation, and social media for the past 28 years. This yearâs awards were held on Friday night at the Mansion House in Dublin.
Vroom Digitalâs âLove Storyâ campaign for Epic, The Irish Emigration Museum, captivated judges with its âexceptional storytelling, creative execution, and cultural resonanceâ. Titled âThe Love Story Before Love Storyâ, the campaign connected history with modern pop culture by tracing the untold love story of Swiftâs Irish ancestors. The campaign was launched ahead of her Dublin concerts, and reached over 13 million people globally.
"It was a masterclass in how digital storytelling can bridge the past and present, making it a well-deserved winner of Best in Storytelling and the Grand Prix Award,â the awards judges said.
Other big winners included Kooba, which was named Large Agency of the Year, and Cork-based technology company Granite, which secured Best in UX & Customer Experience and Best Use of Disruptive Technology.
