We have so many portable devices that a reliable power bank is no longer a luxury — it's a necessity. The Chargeasap Flash Pro Plus features an impressive 25,000mAh capacity, fast charging capabilities, and MagSafe compatibility.

Power and performance

The Flash Pro Plus has a 25,000mAh graphene battery, allowing it to charge multiple devices simultaneously, from laptops to smartphones. The USB-C 100W output performed admirably during my testing. Recharging the power bank also takes advantage of the 100W in/our USB-C port, and I could charge near its maximum rate.

The 1.3-inch display is excellent for those needing real-time information on their power usage. It provides clear and detailed updates on battery percentage, power output, and even operating temperature. This feature was particularly useful when juggling multiple devices, allowing me to effectively manage power distribution.

MagSafe

Apple users will appreciate the Flash Pro Plus’s MagSafe compatibility. Unfortunately, when I was using an iPhone 15 Pro Max for testing, the location of the MagSafe magnets on the power bank meant I couldn’t lay the phone flat due to the camera bump. The magnets are not very strong either, and I couldn’t reach the claimed charging speed of 15W. With some trial and error, I was able to achieve 9W.

The Flash Pro Plus also features a separate Apple Watch charger capable of delivering up to 5W of power. However, using an Apple Watch Series 9, the best I got was 1W. The magnetic pad isn’t particularly strong, but it kept my watch in place, and I never had to worry about alignment issues.

Versatility

The Flash Pro Plus isn’t just for Apple devices, as it boasts a wide range of charging ports, including three USB-C ports, a 50W USB-A port (Quick Charge 3.0 and SVOOC), and three USB-C ports: 100W PD in/out, 20W PD out and 60W PD out. This variety ensures compatibility with almost any device, from tablets to earbuds. I was particularly impressed with its ability to charge low-power devices like wireless earbuds and compatible watches, which some power banks struggle to recognise.

I could charge the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a cable from 20% to fully charged in one hour 42 minutes.

The Flash Pro Plus's ability to charge six devices simultaneously turns it into a mobile charging station. This versatility is especially useful when travelling, as it eliminates the need to carry multiple chargers. The pass-through charging feature lets you simultaneously charge the power bank and your devices.

Durability and safety

The Flash Pro Plus's aircraft-grade aluminium shell provides robust protection, while graphene battery technology ensures it operates at a lower temperature, reducing wear and tear over time. The power bank is rated for over 2,000 charge cycles, translating to a more than five-year lifespan — a significant improvement over traditional lithium-ion batteries.

Safety certifications, including FC, CE, ROHS, and MSDS, further underscore its reliability. Additionally, the power bank’s low temperature during charging and its ability to recharge fully in just 70 minutes make it one of the safest and most efficient power banks I’ve used.

Verdict

The Chargeasap Flash Pro Plus works well as a wired power bank but fails to deliver on its claims for wireless charging speeds. The display is a great idea, and the recharging speed and selection of ports make it versatile for a multitude of devices.
