The decision by P&O Ferries to sack 800 seafarers without notice was “absolutely outrageous”, a union boss has said.

Mick Lynch, general secretary of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT), told British MPs that P&O Ferries “made flagrant breaches of the law”.
