Computer giant IBM has announced plans to lay off 16,000 workers worldwide because of a decline in corporate spending on technology services.

Computer giant IBM has announced plans to lay off 16,000 workers worldwide because of a decline in corporate spending on technology services.

The company employs 318,000 people worldwide, 4,500 of them in Ireland.
