Watch the first scene from The Walking Dead season 7!

Many fans were pretty unhappy with the way the last season of The Walking Dead ended- on a nasty cliffhanger where a main character was apparently killed, but we didn't get to see which one.

The new episodes are set to kick off on the 23rd of October and now the first scene has been released. This definitely does let you know the fate of one of the major players, so if you want to go in completely cold then don't click play.

Mostly we get to see a little more of what makes Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan such a bad guy...

We're not going to break this down too much but there is a bit of cynicism in how AMC continues to tease who actually died, especially after promising they'll make it clear as soon as possible. They're milking the drama for all its worth, but we'll hopefully know more by the end of the episode.

If nothing else, the conversation in the trailer is going to be interesting.
