VIDEO PlayStation VR teardown is oddly mesmerising

Ahead of that PlayStation has published a teardown of the space age headset with mechanical design director Takamasa Araki. Despite what's happening this is a very calm and oddly mesmerising video, with each component removed in a very neat and orderly fashion.

It's amazing how much tech is packed into a unit which manages to be pretty light on the head, and it gives you an idea of all the extra processing which is going on to make this headset provide much better visuals than something your smartphone can provide.

The PlayStation VR is out in Ireland on the 13th of October but you can try it for free at a pop up location on Dame Lane in Dublin from the 12th to the 16th of the month. There are also demo units at Gamestops around the country.
