Disney could buy Twitter

Twitter has been going through a lot of changes over the last couple of years, with staff coming and going and the remit of the site shifting to something closer to a news outlet rather than a straight social platform.

And it hasn't been an easy time, particularly for the shareholders, but there may be light at the end of the tunnel. It seems that the Walt Disney Company might be putting together a bid to buy Twitter, according to sources close to the company.

This comes in the wake of word that Salesforce Inc is also working on a bid, which has created a spike in interest in the Twitter, and an upturn in the stock price.
