There could be a Fruit Ninja movie

Fruit Ninja is a game which has appeared on multiple platforms. It is about slicing virtual fruit in mid air while avoiding non fruit things in pursuit of a high score.

It goes a bit like this.

Mostly it's about swiping your finger or (in the VR version) waving your arms madly about. It's a bit of fun and has been very successful since it was first released on iOS devices back in 2010.

Now there's a movie...

New Line Cinemas has snapped up the rights to a Fruit Ninja movie which was already in active development. The Hollywood Reporter says that it's going to be some kind of action packed comedy about a team of ragtag bunch of folks who have to become really, really good at chopping fruit in mid-air to stop the world from being destroyed. Obviously.

Sounds like a terrible idea so it will probably be in cinemas really soon.
