The handset's camera will reportedly feature four LEDs rather than two, which should ensure that colours are more accurate and may result in brighter images. Apple is also being tipped to add an ambient light sensor to the phone, which should improve image quality, particularly in low-light settings.

Analyst Ming-chi Kuo outlined all of this in a research note, which was obtained by Apple Insider. Kuo also outlined that the larger iPhone Plus model will feature a dual-lens camera, adding that both lenses will be 12MP and that one will be wide-angle while the other is telephoto.

Meanwhile, the new camera is said to offer optical zoom and light field camera applications, which could allow the user to choose the focus of a shot after taking it.

Kuo also detailed the addition of a True Tone display, which featured on the iPad Pro 9.7 and dynamically adjusts the white balance of the display.

The new Plus handset is tipped to feature an A10 processor, potentially clocked at up to 2.45GHz, 3GB RAM, and an improved 3D Touch Sensor.

All will be revealed tomorrow.
