New iPhone to be unveiled this week – Here are some new rumours

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who often predicts Apple’s next moves has gone on record with some new claims. Some of them are ones that we’ve heard before, but others are brand new.

Ming-Chi Kuo says that the new iPhone, or iPhones, will feature the new Apple A10 chip; this is said to be much quicker than the A9 and clocked up to 2.4GHz.

Previously, it has been rumoured that the iPhone would be waterproof. Now, Ming-Chi Kuo claims that it will boast the same waterproof rating as the Apple Watch. If true, that would mean that it will be able to last under 1m of water for 30 minutes.

Ming-Chi Kuo also agrees that the headphone jack is to be scrapped and that a new dual-lens camera will be added to the larger 5.5-inch iPhone. He also believes that the new iPhone will be available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options.

Apple will unveil the new iPhone on September 7.
