Snapchat is closing its Lens Store

Snapchat announced that it will be shutting down its Lens Store from Friday, January 8th.

You can still purchase Lenses until the store closes on Friday if you’d like to use them in future messages, while there will still be some free Lenses available.

The Lens Store, according to a report from Business Insider, was actually performing quite well. Apparently, tens of thousands of Lenses were being sold daily. But Snapchat says that it’s shuttering the store to refocus its efforts on its advertising business instead.
