Hackers targeted Xbox Live last night - PSN could be next

Xbox Live users ran into difficulty signing in and using the online service last night. But apparently it was the work of a group called Phantom Squad, which is claiming credit for the disruption.

Ahead of the outage, the group tweeted a question to its followers asking if Xbox Live uses its millions for better security. Once the service was offline, it sent a mocking tweet.

A few hours later, normal service resumed. But the group claims that this is because it allowed this to happen. "Lmao OF F***ING COURSE xbox live is back online we stopped the attacks," it tweeted.
