Apple Watch has sold over 7 million units

The Apple Watch has been around for over six months now and while the company itself won't provide official sales figures that doesn't mean they entirely secret.

Analysis firm Canalys has done some digging and have pretty much declared the Smart Watch race over with Apple the clear victor. The company has shipped over seven million Apple Watches since April 2015, which sounds very impressive already. But it's when you compare it to other manufacturers in the field that things become really spectacular.

That 7 million figure is larger than the combined shipped units of all other smart watch makers in the world over the last five quarters! As a comparison, Apple shipped more than 300,000 Watches in Q3 and the Pebble Time Steel sent out 200,000 right at launch, which is likely the largest number it will ever ship in one go.
