VIDEO: Original Star Wars trilogy mixed with The Force Awakens in an epic trailer

The soundtrack for Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is almost good enough to sell us on the movie on its own. Now, it’s been re-used by a fan who has cut together a trailer for the original Star Wars trilogy.

The result is a fantastic video that has us excited to watch the original trilogy all over again ahead of The Force Awakens’ release in December.

There is one cheat shot. Medley Weaver uses the shot of the Millennium Falcon flying at the screen through hyperspace from The Force Awakens trailer. But it’s ok; it works well and it’s a great shot in its own right.

Medley Weaver’s trailer takes inspiration from the trailers for Hollywood blockbusters of today, which means there’s plenty of excitement and action as well as some potential spoilers. If you’ve already seen the trilogy, you’ll appreciate it. If you haven’t…Well, you really should watch the three movies.

Sadly, there isn’t much that can get us as excited about watching the prequels all over again. But then again, Jar Jar Binks becomes more bearable the more he’s used if this trailer is anything to go by.
