Halo 5's day one multiplayer update is a massive 9GB!

343 studio chief Josh Holmes responded to a fan’s query on Twitter and said that the update, which includes map content for the Arena multiplayer mode and the 12v12 Warzone multiplayer mode, is 9GB.

The update will be available to download before the game officially goes on sale, if you plan on “pre-downloading” Halo 5. If your Xbox One’s power setting is set to “Instant On", you'll automatically download the update on October 22nd.

If you’re going down the physical copy route, you’ll be downloading the multiplayer update automatically after you install the game.

In other multiplayer news, 343 Industries detailed Halo 5’s clan support. Companies is the name of the feature that players will use to meet, recruit and organise players and matches. 343 Industries is encouraging players to utilise this feature by offering a free REQ Pack to those who either join or create a Company of at least four Spartans.

Halo 5 will be released on October 27th. Better get those hard drives ready for a substantial update.
