VIDEO Long lost Monty Python animations with Gilliam commentary

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is somehow 40 years old in 2015, which is pretty bonkers when you consider how funny the film still manages to be. And nuts. Totally nuts.

And the animated sequences are just part of the nut-tastic ensemble which makes up this movie. Conveniently enough, some 12 minutes of animated stuff has been rediscovered and appears on the new blu-ray of the film. You can watch that footage here with commentary by the very droll Terry Gilliam - who was the animator and co-director of the film.

This is the whole short doc from the home video release, which might be a bit of a problem if you were planning on picking it up as its almost the only few feature included in the set. Which Gilliam makes reference to. Because he is a funny man.

The blu-ray set is available now.
