Well wonder no longer because we've got footage. This video was found on a new DJI X5 bought by Erik Reed. Here's how they're made!
It's not as much like Skynet as we were hoping/fearing!
Presumably this footage was captured to test that the camera was working properly on the drone and the worker forgot to delete the data afterwards. It looks like a lot of patient work to put together the components that make up a drone, and they're certainly a complicated piece of technology. Then the item was boxed up in China and shipped to America to be used to capture stunning high definition footage from angles that you couldn't find any other way.
