New Friday the 13th game is on Kickstarter

So a trailer dropped overnight for a Friday the 13th game. Here it is...
New Friday the 13th game is on Kickstarter

The first question that occurs to me is why in blazes would you want to go out with your first message on a new title with graphics which look like they were ripped from a middle of the road PS3 title from at least five years ago? They've somehow made it worse by stuffing it full of overwrought voiceover and giving us no indication of what the game itself will be like.

So there's more to this then meets the eye - it's actually a trailer for a Kickstarter campaign that's just launched for a multiplayer game set in the Friday universe. You can play as Jason where you'll have to try to kill everyone in creative ways or as teens trying to run away. Original movie dude Sean S. Cunningham is on board and has given his blessing and special effects guy Tom Savini is also helping out.

Shooting the Kickstarter video at Cunningham's house is a very cool thing indeed.

They're looking for $700,000, and they're almost halfway there already. It's a pretty good set up for a multiplayer game, and the over the top gore element will appeal to horror fans. Also you'll get to play as Jason, which is never a bad idea.

The game will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in October 2016, so get backing now if you're interested.
