Metal Gear Online is running an insurance racket

As if we weren’t being bombarded with offers to insure our stuff, now Metal Gear Online is joining in on the action.

In Metal Gear Online, your forward operating base (FOB) can attacked. Konami is letting players pay for insurance so that they can “rest easy.”

If you sign up for insurance, you will be compensated for materials and staff lost due to rival infiltrations. Any staff or materials stolen will remain on your base, but an identical amount will also be handed over to the rival.
