Adobe is giving Photoshop's essential features away for free

Photoshop Fix is now available to download on iPhone and iPad for free, and it features a variety of tools and functions.

As the name implies, Photoshop Fix is used to fix photos. Of course, this can be a pretty potent tool. You can edit out objects and blemishes, heal, smooth, liquify, lighten and make other edits and adjustments on the fly. There are also tools for cropping, adding a vignette, and painting.

For many, these are all the tools that they need Photoshop for. And they’re all available from your mobile device.

Adobe has been trying to find ways to package its tools to make people more willing to spend money on them. There are a number of packages available via the App Store. Those hoping to touch up photos could do a lot worse than downloading this for free.

An Android app is planned, but isn’t available at this point in time. You can however download Photoshop Fix from the App Store for free.
