New OnePlus handset might launch this month

OnePlus is planning to release another handset before the year is out, but a new report suggests it’ll be out sooner than expected.

The OnePlus X, according to GizmoChina’s factory sources, will be released by the end of the month. This lines up with what general manager of OnePlus India, Vikas Agarwal, previously said. He revealed that OnePlus would release a new handset globally, though India will be the biggest focus.

OnePlus’ new handset will feature a 5-inch full HD display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor, which was previously used in the OnePlus One. It’s also expected that the OnePlus X will use the USB Type-C port.

Renders indicate that it is to undergo a redesign, possibly featuring a dual camera setup, more pronounced grilles for speakers, and a fingerprint scanner.

Pricing is rumoured to be around the $249 mark.
