All Xbox One controllers will have remappable controls soon

As it currently stands, only those with a fancy Xbox One Elite controller can remap controls. But this feature will soon be available on all Xbox One pads soon.

On Twitter, Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra told an Xbox One owner that the feature is coming to all controllers soon. He was responding to a user who asked about the feature, reminding him that the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 allows for remappable controls.

So, if the Elite controller loses out on this exclusive feature, what does it have to offer for its inflated price tag? Well, it has extra triggers on the controller's reverse side for one.

Microsoft hasn’t revealed when all Xbox One controllers will be remappable, so enjoy this period of exclusivity while it lasts if you own an Elite controller.

Users have also been requesting background music, another feature that the PlayStation 4 has. Xbox boss Phil Spencer promised the feature was still on the drawing board, but other matters are more of a priority.
